I grew up going to Church but never had a relationship with God. While attending University I met an evangelist who invited me to a weekly Bible Study. He shared his testimony and explained the Gospel to me. Over the months of meeting with him my heart changed and I had a powerful experience with God when I made the decision to follow Jesus. Florence is from India and grew up going to Church. She heard testimonies of people becoming Christians which challenged her beliefs. She came to New Zealand to study at University. One day she met an evangelist who asked her some questions about her beliefs. As they talked she realised she needed to make a decision to follow Jesus with her whole life and after that conversation she did. Florence and I married in 2012 and since then we have had three beautiful children Joshua, Joanna and Sarah. My wife and I are very excited to see young men and women come to know Jesus powerfully.

(Dan) I grew up in Phoenix Arizona and I have gone to church since I can remember. Although I attended church most of my life, I didn't know what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus until I was in my first year at university at the U of A in Tucson, AZ. During my first semester, I met a campus minister who faithfully visited my dorm weekly to do Bible studies. After meeting with him for several months to learn about being born again, I woke up on the night in April 1998 realizing that I needed help and that my lifestyle wasn't consistent with the Bible. It was then that I made a decision to repent and give my life to Jesus. Shortly after that, I became a part of a local church that does outreach at the U of A. In my third year at uni, I felt the Lord put it in my heart to become a full time campus minister, and reach out to uni students like someone had done for me. A few years later in 2005, I moved to NZ to be a part of reaching out to university students in New Zealand, and met Meleane then.

(Mel) I grew up in Tonga where Christianity is a part of the culture. I moved to NZ at the age of 13 and I decided to explore my own path and looked into other religions. When I attended Massey University, I put my religious beliefs aside and therefore, busied myself, striving to get somewhere and got involved in the drinking and the party culture as my way of trying to get fulfillment. After a few years of living this way, I realized that I was digging myself a deep hole. One day I met a Campus Minister who shared with me about God's love. I started doing weekly Bible studies and eventually I came to understand that I was on the wrong side of God despite my Christian upbringing. On September 27th 2005,I repented and asked Jesus to be my Lord and Saviour. Everything has made sense since then. We met in July 2005 and became friends over the years. We worked alongside each other as we served the Lord through reaching out to tertiary aged-students. We were engaged in 2011 and then married on June 1st 2013. We are passionate about seeing young people turn to Jesus.

I grew up in a Christian home. Both my parents became Christians when a campus minister shared the gospel with them on the campus of their university.

Thanks to their decision to follow Jesus, I was taught about Jesus from a young age, and I made a decision to give my life to Him when I was a child.

As I grew up, I came to experience a relationship with Jesus and the power of God for myself. When I was 14, I felt God leading me to become a full-time evangelist one day.

I have since finished my bachelor’s degree in Communication and now I’m an evangelist with New Creation Ministries, and on the staff of Palmerston North Victory Christian Church.

I grew up in a Buddhist family and did not know anything about Jesus or the Bible. I thought I was a good person and my good deeds would lead me to heaven. In my second year at university, I started doing Bible study with an evangelist on campus. She showed me through the Bible that I could not earn my way to heaven in my own strength. Jesus Christ is the only way for me to be forgiven and reconciled to God. Through the weekly one-on-one Bible studies and church services, I came to realise that Christianity was not a set of rules but about having a loving personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. Knowing that He died willingly to pay for my sins and the way I was living my life was offensive to Him, I made the decision to repent and follow Jesus with my whole life.

In 2007 I met an evangelist on the concourse at university. After we got talking he asked me if I'd like to catch up with him to discuss the Bible, so I started meeting with him for a weekly Bible study and I began reading the Bible in my spare time too. During that time I began to have some supernatural experiences that made me take the Bible seriously.

During one of the Bible studies we discussed repentance. That evening I thought about following Jesus. After much deliberation I decided to surrender my life to Jesus. The thought of it was challenging because I knew everything had to change, but I knew it was the right thing to do.

So as I prayed, I could sense some resistance, but I fought through it and prayed a prayer of repentance. As soon as that happened I could feel a change. I laughed for joy and thanked God for what He had just done.

Since then, I became a part of a Church, got baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. I am now happily married with 2 beautiful children.

Through this ministry I came to know the Lord and was radically changed.

I was born in Argentina and moved to New Zealand at the age of three. In 2009 at 19 years old, I meet an evangelist on the street and began to do weekly bible studies with her. On the 15 th of September in 2010 during a bible study, I felt an overwhelming sadness for Jesus realising that I was a sinner and He had taken the punishment for all my sins and that I had been rejecting Him my whole life.

I knew the only right thing to do was to give my whole life to Jesus. Stemming from that decision I got baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit and became a part of a Church.

God changed my life in so many ways, and He gave me a desire to be involved in this ministry and its mission to reach tertiary students with the Gospel.
